Misdiagnosing Gonnarhea

Hi. So the other day I went to my family doctor to get checked out because of some discharge that I was having. She did a culture and diagnosed me with having just a simple bacterial infection... no biggy. Well she calls me back a few days later and says that the test that checked for gonnarhea came up positive... but here is the tricky part. There was two parts to the test. The 1st one (which is the main one), and the 2nd (which is kind of just a follow up just to check again). Well the first test came up negative, but the 2nd came up slightly positive. So she checked me again, but the results will not be in until Monday. So now I have to be on pins and needles until Monday. Does this sound strange to anyone else other than me... oh and let me mention too... I have only been with 1 person my entire life!

  • Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to wait until Monday to get the final results. Sometimes it takes just one intercourse to either get an STD or get pregnant :(Next time you engage in unprotoected sex, make sure your partner is STD clean.
