My question is in regards to my daughters abnormal menstrual bleeding. She is 12 and has had periods for over a year. My concern is this last period is not her normal 4-5 days, she has been bleeding for 28 days straight. The beginning of the period was excessive bleeding which has slowed to moderate to light, however she has not stopped. On a side note, she has had excessive weight gain in the last few months +20lbs, she has never used tampons and is not sexual active. Please help, I have heard that beginning menstrual cycles can be a little out of whack but to go from normal to this is ridiculous.
