My question is in regards to my daughters abnormal menstrual bleeding. She is 12 and has had periods for over a year. My concern is this last period is not her normal 4-5 days, she has been bleeding for 28 days straight. The beginning of the period was excessive bleeding which has slowed to moderate to light, however she has not stopped bleeding. She has had excessive weight gain in the last few months +20lbs as well. She has never used tampons and is not sexual active. Please help, I have heard that beginning menstrual cycles can be a little out of whack but this is ridiculous.
