No one knows why it appears, or what causes it, it is something treatable, but will have to be treated for the rest of a persons life. Does that help at all?
I have it.Hi, I was diagnosed in April this year, on clobutisol it has made the itch better and controls the condition but I still have to apply cream every second day or I have a flair up, love wearing my jeans but some advise is to wear looser clothing, any one want to share what's happening.

Waiting for the biopsy results to make sure there is no cancer. Started the clobetasol last night. I am postmenopausal for 2 yrs now. After learning all I can about this, I would be safe to say that I have had this all my life, first signs were around the anus. Severe itching like something is moving around in my skin and an anal fissure. During menopause it moved to the vulva.
