I have noticed for a long while since i was young, about 8years or younger that my vagina ''lips'' have looked a little strange. I have never been sexually active before and it is now starting to scare me. I always thought maybe its suppose to look this way, but now im not to sure. Iam 14 and i havent still been sexually active. ''they'' look wrinkly and flabby! Is there something wrong with me or my vagina?

Hi Person123, The labia, both inner and outer go through changes during puberty. There are many possible arrangements of how they look, all of them perfectly normal. I would say that most likely you are getting yourself all worried about nothing at all. Your labia are all part of your vulva, the external tissues that surround and enclose your vagina. The visual aspects of vulvas are as varied as how faces look. How your face looks is the sum total of how all the parts of your face look together. Same with a vulva. Some of the tissues are wrinkled, some smooth. Often the wrinkled looking skin smooths out when engorged with blood during arousal. Relative sizes of the inner and outer labia vary tremendously, all normal. Wrinkled or smooth are all normal. These fears can come up because of lack of familiarity with what the range of normal vulvas look like because of our societal fears and taboos. The Planned Parenthood site has a presentation on this subject for teens. If you don't find any reassurance in this make an appointment with a doctor and get checked out professionally. Nothing you have said indicates that you have anything other than a completely normal vulva. Good luck.
