a little over a month ago i tested positive for chlamydia. i took the single dose antibiotic, as did my boyfriend (with whom i was monogamous; he moved away shortly after and i have not slept with anyone since). he had been tested and it came out negative, although i've read that it is pretty common for men to test false negative, and i'm fairly certain i got it from him (the only other contender being an ex-boyfriend who i hadn't slept with in six months or so).
ANYway, it's been about a month since i took the antibiotics, but i've been having mild symptoms that MAY be chlamydia, even though i didn't have symptoms the first time around. fairly heavy bleeding between periods, slight burn/pain when peeing, slight pain in the pelvic region.

does anyone know how common it is for the medicine to not cure it the first time around? should i go get retested? how long does the infection have to be in your body before you become infertile? if it's not chlamydia again, should i be worried about the bleeding (it's much more than the normal spotting)?
