Hi. I am a 21, a college student and at this momnet do not have insurance. I plan to go to my local free clinic but as I am still paying medical bills on a kidney stone from last year..I am worried about the money.
Okay, so any help that can be given would be really great.
I have, quite frankly, been experiencing a pretty much nonstop period since late Sept ( it is not the second week in Nov)
It has been so heavy that I have to change pads every 2 hours most days. And there has been more blood clots than usual. I have been very tired all the time (have started taking iron pills today bc I am thinking I may need them from all the bleeding)
I have always had very irregular periods...I often have 2 in one month. so I didn't think too much of this when it didn't go away after 2 weeks but now I'm getting really scared. It can't be healthy for me to be bleeding this much.
I took a pregnancy test just to check and I am not pregnant. In all honesty, I haven't had sex in a while because around mid Sept, it began to hurt too much. (Thankfully, my boyfriend has been very supportive)
I have tried to change my diet, taking in a much vitamins as I can to possibly help. Also tried to start walking more in the mornings but I just always feel crummy bc of this.

Are there any possible explanations? I have researched and seen stuff about hormones or even cancer...this really freaks me out. Like I said, I plan to go to my free clinic, but if they send me to another doctor, I have no way to pay for this. Help???

Help???I know this is late but I'm posting for any other people with this problem.... go see a doctor NOW. I had this same problem of blood loss for two months straight. I got an ultrasound and they found a polyp (buildup of tissue and skin) in my uterus and they will have to operate. Polyp's can lead to infertility so if you are having non stop bleeding go see a doctor ASAP

  • I had a period that lasted too long in high school, and they just put me on birth control pills for a few months, until my body got back to normal. It happened again twice and I had to go back on the pills for a few months. They didn't know the cause but they treated the symptom.I have now discovered I am gluten intolerant, which leads to vitamin deficiencies that disrupt endocrine (hormone) function. So I wonder if this had anything to do with it. I know this is late but I'm posting for any other people with this problem.... go see a doctor NOW.
