Heavy periods, bleeding between periods, pelvic pain

:(I have heavy periods, heavy bleeding between periods, and sharp pelvic pain for the last year. I have been to an OB/GYN who did an ultrasound and laparoscopy to look for endometriosis, etc. She said she found nothing. I have been on 4 different birth control pills in the last year and nothing has helped. I have been reading a lot about adenomyosis (uterine lining growing into the muscle tissue) and heard it is hard to diagnose. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about adenomyosis and if this is a possibility. Or does anyone have any other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I'm 23 years old and have only had one sexual partner 3 years ago and tested negative for STDs)

  • A friend of mine had similar symptoms. It turned out that she was allergic to something in the birth control. You may want to see if there is anything that those birth control pills have in common, then see how you do without any of the birth control pills. Also, when you say etc, do you mean that the gynecologist tested for every possibility? I'm just asking what else does etc cover. You may want a second opinion.I hope things clear up, good luck.

  • try a half dozen acupuncture treatments; you probably have some type of hormonal problem. A preventative M.D. might be able to design a formula for you.
