Ok so I have this ex co-worker turned good friend and now recently I do some construction work for him. Well needless to say, we do construction so obviously we drink a lot. So a few weeks ago we are getting wasted and he tells me that about a year ago he was diagnosed with ball cancer, aka (testicular cancer) and he got one of his nuts replaced with a fake one... So I ask him like is there any difference in the feeling, or the sexual drive or anything like that... His only reply was "It sucks dude. It just sucks". So now fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, Im at the mall with my girl and it goes without saying I had to stand there for like 7 hours as she shopped. Well I started getting an odd feeling in my right nut. I didnt think much of it. Well this was like a week and a half to two weeks ago. Now everyday since then, the odd feeling has progressed into a great deal of uncomfortness. Which I was able to deal with untill about yesterday when I went to work. I do stage and lighting so i climb scafolds and ladders all day. Well I get home and the pain is now so unbareable that I can hardly walk anymore. I want and need to go to the doctor but I am a young, broke, non health insured 24 year old and Im kinna scared to go to the hospital for fear that they are going to tell me I have ball cancer. Though I know I HAVE to go because I cannot bare this uncomfortness any longer. My questions are... Has anyone else gotten a similar feeling or anything that can help me with knowledge before I go into a hospital thats most likely gonna just dope me up and tell me to come back like 50 times for check ups that I cant afford and most likely (and hopefully) dont need. My only symptoms are a pretty disturbing pain in the right testical only. There is no negative feeling in the left nut, the scrotum or the penis... Its just my right nut. Its not a sharp pain, its not a throbbing, its not an itch. My nuts arent discolored and there are no visible or unusual signs of anything out of the ordinary. I have no pain when I have sex. I also feel no pain when I wake in the morning. Though the pain or 'discomfort' doesnt really set in till about an hour after I wake. Like I said the discomfort started about 2 weeks ago. It wasnt anything that a joint or a bowl couldnt cure... But now I am getting very scared. The last 3 or 4 days the pain has been getting to such a level that I take asprins, smoke some herb, or even drink and it barely even mellows the pain at all. Before when the odd feeling started, it was something I would only slightly feel when I would lay down. When I stood straight up it wouldnt hurt at all... Fast forward to now... As of this afternoon, I cant even walk without limping. And now the pain is a lil more mild when I dont stand or walk around at all. I dont know what to do. I just want to get some opinions or something cause Im really scared after hearing what happened to my friend. I like being me, I dont want to end up being half the man I used to be ya know? I just need to hear some advice, or opinions or something cause Im really freaking out here. I dont want cancer. I can barely afford to live in the city Im in and I have no insurance. There is no way I can cover x-rays, or scrotum sergeries, or whatever it is they are going to do to me. Somebody please give me some advice or hope of anykind. Much obliged...

  • Maybe there is a health clinic ran by your county or city/town that would charge less money than a hospital would.

  • First of all don't panic. Second, examine carefully your testicle. Is it in any way different to the other, like does it have a lump or something on it?You may have a twisted testicle. If that is the case your pain is only going to get worse and without medical attention you will loose it if the blood supply gets cut off.Thirdly, loss of a testicle or ever both testicles does't make anyone half a man, anymore than loosing a breast makes a woman any less a woman.Your friend may be disgruntled feeling that he is half a man now and this is a shame. The loss of a testicle doesn't affect sexual arousel, unless psychological brick walls start to develop due to the loss.Even if testosterone levels drop, this can be rectified with hormone treatment, better then leaving it to find it is too late and loosing your life to cancer that could have been caught in its early stages.Dont be affraid, it really does sound like a twisted testicle. There must be some help somewhere for you with your financial situation. As the previous poster said, a clinic or something.Agape, searchingsam

  • If your conditon has been aggravated by heavy lifting, it could be hernia. It is said that testicular cancer (or any other) don't hurt but you should always find a lump.Of course you need to be careful about looking for lumps, because a hernia causes lump too, also the testicula anatomy alos includes smaller lumps. Don't be affraid and stop fussing about it, just see whoever you can afford for this initial exam and take it from there. Good luck!
