I am 20 years old and still a virgin so i know the chances of having cervical cancer are minimal.

However I regularly get discharge with a slight odour for years now and it often is white and milky. I currently am really itchy and sore down below with a really thick discharge and have been given treatment for thrush. I also found a spot of blood on my tissue but i dont know whether this is just from the sore and flaky skin or something more serious. Ive also started getting abdominal pain. Its all making me really panic.

Could i have cervical cancer? Please help

  • Could i have cervical cancer? Please help When I was a teen I'd get a milky white discharge right before my period. I never really knew what it was but I'm 41 now and have had LOTS of pap smears and no cancer. It kind of sounds like you have a yeast infection. You can get those from lots of things that have nothing to do with sex. Everything from a harshly formulated bubblebath to wearing pantyhose everyday can cause a yeast infection. I used to get one every time I had to take antibiotics for something. All it takes is warm and moist and not enough bacteria to keep it in check. It could also be a bacterial infection of the vaginal area and those can be a bit more dangerous because, I think, it can cause a pelvic inflammation. Either way get to a good doctor and have a PAP smear and culture done. My Mom had cervical cancer and she had virtually no symptoms. Her biggest symptom was her periods became irregular. When she went in to have that checked out the routine physical exam picked up stage 3 cervical cancer. I don't think you have to worry but the quicker you find out for sure the sooner you can get things fixed.
