Can Trichomoniasis be contracted through needle use

I just was diagnosed with Trichomoniasis, my boyfriend swears he hasn't cheated on me and for the sake of the question we'll assume he didn't (and I haven't on him), but my now ex admitted to trying injectable steroids and found out later the needle had been previously used by his roommate. Besides the fact of this being completely disgusting, wrong and illegal, can trich even be contracted through needle use?

  • Don't think so, but I don't know for sure, but trichomoniasis can live in your colon. It is a parasite, which makes sense considering the parasite/digestive system link. I got trichomoniasis all the way back in 2002 and just recently read it can easily be transferred from your colon I guess if you skip a bath or exercise and get really sweaty causing dripping which could infect you I'm guessing. Good luck with everything!!!
