Bleeding after sex only

Hi, I know this topic was posted before, but everyone is different, after all...

I've been experiencing bleeding after sex. I've only had 2 boyfriends/sexual partners in my entire life, and have already had a pap smear test earlier this summer. At first I thought it was due to a lack of vaginal lubrication causing friction tears in the vaginal opening. But lately, upon closer inspection, I'm noticing that the blood is mixed in with the vaginal fluid so that it's a pale pink-reddish colour--which would imply the blood is coming from inside.

There is a degree of vaginal pain as well, and though I drink lots of water, take multivitamins, shower often, avoid caffeine, don't smoke, this has continued to happen for quite a while now. I set up a doctor's appointment for Friday, but in the meantime, I was just curious if anyone else had feedback on this.

  • Bleeding after sex is one of the biggest symptoms of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer can be missed on a pap smear even if you already had one this year. I would get in with a gyn as soon as possible. Take the advice from a survivor.

  • Alot of times it can be caused from the man hitting sensitive areas, some woman are just built small and the guy sorta bottoms out.... if you get my drift, other things are cysts, or hpv.hope all goes well.

  • I concur with the cervix and or cyst both common. Most men don't "bottom out" sure maybe the first few times but you tend to get deeper the more times you have contact with the same man. And there is no such thing as the after blood, unless it's your first time, but sometimes not even then. Go to a obgyn ask them to check for HPV, cervical cancer, Ovarian Cysts ect. And be sure to let them know you are having a blood discharge after sex. Also you might want to have the nurse sit down and have a talk about ways to protect yourself from contracting any Stds and or how to make it more comfortable for you to engage in having sex.
