I've been fighting bacterial vaginosis for about 6 months now. I've been through several different antibiotics: Flagyl, Clindamycin, Doxycylcine, and Clindesse, and then of course Diflucan for the yeast caused by the antibiotics. By it just comes back. I've been tested for Chlamydia and Gonorreha. The tests came back negative. After a couple more months of fighting this, I asked my doc if the tests could have been wrong. She said my body showed no signs of being infected by either on of those. I've had a redness to my vaginal area that has come and gone since this started. About a month and a half ago, it got very red and has stayed that way. It's irritating and I have prickly like pains. I can't have sex because that just irritates it more (which is having an affect on my marriage). Two weeks ago my doctor prescribed a 2 week course of boric acid suppositories to "attack the bacteria." I used the last suppository 2 days ago and I'm still red and uncomfortable. My follow up appointment is in 5 days. I'm miserable and no amount of crying seems to help.
