I am a 45 year old female recently divorced and now seeing one particular male guy someone I've know for years. My partner and I use condom during sex, but not during oral. Lately he's been complaining about an itchy feeling and I have notice sort of an tingling feeling in my lips, I see no rash or sore. When I go to visit my doctor what should I ask him to look for or what test should be recommended.

  • There is nothing serious if you have no rash or sore throat but pay attention: you have still some probability to be infected by hiv virus this way - by non protected oral sex and obviously to be infected with gonnorhea and syphiis Nothing to do -use condom

  • ask your doc to test you for everything, you are not at high risk for everything, but it is good to know whats going on, even if its nothing. its important you tell your doc to do it, because standard pap smears only check for abnormal cells not STD's

  • You should check out for any STD's. It *could* possibly be Genital Herpes. I got that as a parting gift from my philandering husband (now ex). There are many different types of the herpes virus. Have a full checkup done at your GYN via blood testing. Good luck!
