I am a 20 yr old female with a medical history that has been somewhat out of the ordinary considering all of the health problems I have had. As of recent test results, I have found out that I do have a high Lyme Disease IgG/IgM Ab count of 5.35 which I am now taking antibiotics for. Also, I don't drink or smoke.

The past several days I have gotten very ill and have not been able to do much of anything. It started out looking like a simple cold or possible sinus infection. I started taking Benadryl and eating cough drops to try and suppress the symptoms.

Two days later I couldn't keep myself awake and passed out 6 hours before I normally go to sleep. I woke up about 4 hours into it soaked in sweat with a 100.9 degree fever. I found it very difficult to breathe and continually had to force myself to take big gasps of air. My chest felt very heavy and I had a constant need to cough heavily. After taking some ibuprofen, my fever went down and I went back to sleep.

The next day I started vomiting and rushed over to the doctor's office. My blood pressure was a little elevated, but I'm starting to find that odd since the last several doctor visits my BP has been a bit high. She told me that it is probably just a virus that would go away by the next day. Later on that day, I started getting a sharp pain on the lower left of my rib cage. No matter what position I am in, the pain doesn't go away. It hurts when I touch it, too. Now, it is visibly swollen when I compare sides in the mirror.

Most of the symptoms have quieted down a lot but my cough remains heavy. The pain on my left side has gotten worse and kind of scares me a bit cause I have never felt this before. I am a college student and I don't have any money, so I am debating if this pain is worth paying to see the doctor over. Is this a normal pain that comes when getting sick? Or could it be something more serious? Has anyone else gone through anything like this before?

Please Help Me
Thank You
