Trouble breathing

It all started lastnight while at a friends house. It felt as if my throat slightly narrowed. My normal breathes felt strained. Then every 30 seconds or so I would need to take a deep breathe. I wasnt weezing at all while taking the breathes so I doubt its asthma. I had it only once before and that was about 3 months ago. I could barely get to sleep at all lastnight once i got home. Everytime right before i fell asleep i would get the sensation that i wasnt getting enough oxygen and would have to start taking a few deep breathes. I dont believe any of this is anxiety or stress related since nothing major is going on now or back when i previously had it.
