Just last night when I had an every day kind of cough, I sensed a mild smell of blood. Later, when I sneezed, the smell of blood was more distinct. I'm otherwise normal. I tried to bring up some spit and was able to spit out a little bit, but it was clear. I still have these symptoms this morning.
Searching WD and other Internet resources didn't match these symptoms, usually directing me to coughing up blood-tinged sputum, which I'm not. I'm not sure if this is potentially serious enough to call a health care provider.
