Hi, i have shortness of breath that will come in episodes..The 'episodes' will last about a 1-2 weeks. It also feels like something in my throat is swelling, like my lymph nodes or something. I was researching these symptoms, and maybe sarcoidosis is the cause?? any suggestions?

  • Sarcoidosis is not as common as other conditions that will cause similar symptoms. Asthma, or even acid relux related shortness of breath are more common, especially for symptoms that come and go. You would normally notice symptoms elsewhere with sarcoidosis as well (and would be over 40ish I believe). If you're a long time smoker it could be early symtoms of COPD. Good idea to get it checked out, as even mild asthma can suddenly flare into a deadly attack if not properly controled.
