Hi all
Two days ago I smoke a small bit (less than 1/8 of an ounce) of grit weed. Which is weed sprayed with a fine silica dust to make it heavier and look more potent. Since then (2 days) I have had a slight irritation in my throat and the slightest chest tightness. Note I do not smoke often. I was wondering would it be likely for me to get silicosis in the years to come ?
I mean i have clearly inhaled a bit of silica but only once I'm not sure to get silicosis does it have to be repeated or is it just a certain amount of silica particles needed to be inhaled overall to cause it.
Pretty much my question is if someone inhaled a large amount of silica (enough to irritate throat for a few days) just one time would this be likely to cause silicosis in years to come ?
The silica is very fine and can not be detected by eye.
Thanks for help
