  • any one can suggest me a supplement for upper respitary infection. i guess you'd be over the problem by now as you posted a while back.. but if it happens again.. some herbs that can be taken for upper respiratory infections are: garlic and echinacea (for infections) eyebright, golden rod, ginger or fenugreek (for mucus and congestion) calendula (marigold) if glands are up glycyrrhiza (licorice), Ulmus (slippery elm), honey (soothing for inflamed membranes) sage tea can be gargled for a sore throat Eucalyptus or Tea tree essential oil can be used in oil burner or put into a bowl of hot water.. cover head and bowl with towel and breath... - Vitamin C can be taken in fairly large doses even hrly (if you get loose bowel motions thou you are taken too much) but at least morning and night (as it dont stay in the system for long) eg 1-2 mg morning and night- propolis lozenges are great (the best thing i find) for sore throat
