I have been coughing up flecks of blood. Would I be correct in assuming that this is more likely from a ruptured capillary in my throat from excess coughing than from any serious condition?

  • Most likely. If the blood were coming from your lungs, it would be bright red and seem slightly bubbly and be mixed with mucous. Keep an eye on it, and if it continues or worsens, see your M.D/O.D.
