I am 36 female. Average height and weight. I have had no health problems ever. About 6 months ago started getting really tired and wanted to sleep a lot. Then I started getting shortness of breath, like I couldn't get enough air in my lungs. Asked dr. if it could be my meds and he said no. Went to get a physical. She listened to my heart and asked if I had a history of heart murmur. Didn't think so. Told her about my breathing. Sent me for an ekg and x-ray. Never found out the results, but I guess they we ok. I moved and didn't think about it. About a week later I got a letter in the mail from dr. hey told me to call. My iron was low. So what I thought. Didn't do anything. Over the last 3 months, shortness of breath coming more and lasting longer. Get tired do just simple things. Tonight my breathing is worse and I have a headache and upper back pain. I guess it could be stress related, but I am calm now?? Slight pressure in center of my chest. I ahte going to dr and get embaressed if I go and I wasted their time. Any ideas. If it is still here tomorrow I am calling dr. I have been on day number 3 this time, lasting most of day. I just can't get any air into my lungs unless I yawn and sometimes I can't do that!

  • Low iron-levels in your blood can make you anemic. Tired, weak, just as you said, even the breathlessness seems to point in this way. Take iron pills, they will make you better.get well!anna
