I have had ARDS twice in the last 3 years and have had no answers as to why. I have been told its probably something in my immune system. It comes on fast with no warning or symptoms. I would like answers to avoid another round with a ventilator. Does anyone out there know anyone else who has had ARDS and it not be from an injury or not for any specific reason? I am tired of doctors telling me they dont know why I am getting it but only that I will get it again and probably worse than the time before. It makes me angry to think that I have no reason or at lease some sort of answer. Thanks for any advice or direction.
