Ache in back and sides

For a while now i get aches in my side of my chest (comes and goes) and also sometimes ache in the shoulder blades and also the lower back. The pain is never severe by the way.

About six months ago though I went for a couple of tests to see how my lungs are doing (smoker)

I had a chest xray plus a lung function test and both came back fine. I breathe ok and only really cough in the morning when I wake up. Smokers cough mostly that produces clear phlegm.

The ache seems to feel closer to the surface and does not increase with breathing. Also i get an ache sometimes in lower part of my ribs.

Just wondering if it is just that , aches or is it something more than that.

  • Also I have a history or heartburn but could pain from that radiate to other parts of the chest?
