A question about wheezing

I've got a question revolving wheezing.

I can breath normally in and out, but I also can voluntarily make a wheezing sound if I sigh.
I don't use my tongue or something at all, I just sigh and it makes that sound.
I can almost whistle a song that way.

Now what I doubt about is if I got wheezing due to a narrowing of my esophagus, making it a serious thing, or just a normal or possible occurance.
Does anyone can help me out on this? I'd appreciate it very much.
