My baby has been diagnosed with cri du chat syndrome she is three weeks old but the doctors are baffeled with the results as well she doesn't show any of the physical symtoms other than poor muscle tone and low birth weight and all of the neurological tests have also come back normal. She has also been diagnosed with CMV a virus that is common in adults and was passed from myself to her that can also cause low birth weight. I am definitly going to get a second opinion she is still in NICU and will be coming home this week but I am in shock my husband and I have four more children all completely healthy. If she does infact have this disorder I want her to have all of the support available so that she has a normal life but I wonder if there is a possibility that they could have made a mistake.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
