What are the odds that two friends- 13 years old, end up in the hospital on the same day with appendicitis and both have an appendectomy on the same day???? These two also had spent the weekend together, one presented with virus like symptoms on Sunday, the other on Monday, then both were in the ER and having surgery on Tuesday. This sounds strange, but it happened today. Was the diagnosis correct? and what would have caused both of these girls to have this?
