Question. I have had a lot of success with my past depression and loss of energy with my biomeridian nutritionist (dermal testing--it's actually super acurate). I got tested recently and my DHEA, testosterone and vitamin D were low. I personally think my estrogen was a little low as well.
My adrenals have had issues the past couple years. This time last year I could barely get out of bed and function. Now I'm remarried and about to try for another child. I'm just worried about trying for another child until my hormones are normalized. I'm on vit D and DHEA (natural sources), as well as calcium and something for my liver.
I want to know if you've seen a case like mine, honestly, where the last two weeks of my menstrual cycle my muscles get really tight, I don't sleep well, etc. I wonder if my cortisol is shooting or what. I tried adding natural progesterone but made me not sleep and vagina drier. Adding DHEA has been good in many ways. Helped my metabolism, my stomach's flatter, I digest better, I'm not feeling like eating all the time, energy, etc. but I've got a little more acne than usual and I feel I've lost some hair. I've gone down on doses. Now I'm only taking the equivalent of about 7 mg a day total.
The thing is, if my progesterone is normal or high, wouldn't you think I'd be feeling great? I don't know when the DHEA will be okay to get off of, and if my adrenals will produce enough of it when I'm off of it, etc. I'm so frustrated because I want to get pregnant, but I'm having to push it back because of this!
I WAS stressed a year or more ago, but not anymore. I want my adrenals to function right and my hormones to be balance. Sorry. I didn't mean to write so much.
