My husband was diagnossed almost 4 yrs ago with 4 rare disorder (2 which I can not pronounce) they cause his body to produce blood clots in his major organs..do not come up thru the legs like normal they just form in his organs. Has already had 7 hit his lungs and one hit his brain with a bleed to the brain. He also has DIP Rare Pneumonia and another Rare Pneumonia which I can not recall the name...
I do know that when you have blood clots hit your lungs that tissue dies off and will never regrow or recover...it is lost forever...his oxgen exchange is bad and has been on oxgen before but not for the last yr and half.
My question is what effect does smoking have on the lungs and body for someone with all of this???? I just found out he is smoking after all of this...I feel that he is giving up and not too sure what to do?
He has more going on with his body that the disease have effected but my concerns right now are his lungs.
If anyone has an answer other than the (one I am pretty sure of) please let me know....He is coughing all the time.
Prob. just reaching out for support...I guess
