I experienced some brown spotting (albeit there wasnt much at all) a couple of weeks back. I went in a panic (as its my first) to A & E and waited hours, they then took blood and I went back in 2 days for more blood. The results stated that my HCG levels had gone up but only a little. I was to expect a phone call about a scan. Just to check everything over. Everyone kept telling me that its normal. (The brown spotting) and quite common. The next day I was told that in 5 days time they could fit me in for a scan. So we had to wait in effect a week just to find out what was wrong. When I finally went for my scan at 9 weeks. There was no heartbeat.
My partner looked on the screen and said what he saw loked to be about 4mm.
Am I stupid to think there maybe hope when I go bak this thur (a week later) for yet another scan?
I want to be positive but with the HCG levels, the size of the baby on the screen, no heartbeat and brown spotting I feel I am clutching at straws.
Has this happened to anyone else? Just wanting to know how it all went.
