Miscarrying or not?

I just found out I was pregnant yesterday and the doctor told me it could be a miscarriage. Sure I had all the symptom of a miscarriage (svere abdominal pain, passing tissue, heavy blood flow, etc...) This is a genetic thing, my mother and sister both were told they were experiencing an occuring miscarriage and would not have the baby (not threatening or complete) but both went on to have healthy babies. Is it possible that I could still have the baby? Is there any way the baby can still survive after all this? I've been to the doctor and I'm waiting on the result on the hormone levels in my blood with a 48hr difference and I have to get an ultrasound on Thursday but I'm so anxious and I want an opinion. It seems like it will take a miracle for the pregnancy to continue and for the baby to be alive.

  • As I know from my own experience, these symptoms are very likely to result in miscarriage. I had two babies after my first pregnancy which resulted in a miscarriage. Having miscarriage doesn't mean that you can't have a baby, Your mother and sister are incontestable proof for this.Hope everything will be Ok with you.
