Hi, I am doing research at a university using Barco silica sand. The sands average diameter is 150 um (micrometers, 10 to the power of -6) and there are no particles under 75 um. If I am wearing a respirator is there a chance that this particular sand will cause silicosis in the coming years? I usually work in the lab for 4 hours and do so about 2 times a week over a period of 2 months.
