Wondering if someone can help. Today I bought an aged garlic oil supplement. Shortly after taking it, my nose began to get somewhat stuffed up/runny. Does this seem like a mild allergy to the capsules?

  • Yes. I get the same symptoms when I eat certain foods. I have just recently narrowed it down to garlic. I get stuffed nose, congested cough, kind of like lactose intolerance.

  • Well it definately was the garlic because the day after I stopped taking the supplement, sure enough the problem went away. But it's weird- I can eat whole garlic, minced garlic, and even garlic bagels/food with garlic and never get a problem. Yet the aged garlic supplement caused the allergy. Odd.
