first off, i'd like to start by saying i workout regularly, have never drank/smoke in my entire life, maintain a healthy diet and have no previous record of heart illness.
so, a few nights ago i experienced this really vivid discomfort near my heart (at least, that's what i believed at the time) that made me feel as if it was going to spontaneously explode/die. that night, i went to the ER and they performed several tests; EKG, x-rays, blood work, and monitored my heart for awhile. all of which returned nothing abnormal. the doctor who treated me in the ER advised that i follow up with a cardiologist to get a more in-depth understanding of what could possibly be wrong and so i did. as expected, the cardiologist confirmed that there was nothing irregular or amiss with my heart.
however, i'm now home again, trying to sleep (even under the influence of hydroxyzine, which my primary physician prescribed me to help with my anxiety regarding the heart issues when trying to sleep) and the feeling remains extremely bothersome. i cannot sleep and at this point, i have no idea what reason could be. i feel helpless and am hoping you guys may have some advice/similar experiences.
