switching words: I know the right word in my head but I say something else: eg., apple for pear.

I started to occasionally switch words a few years ago: apple for pear, right for left, trunk of tree instead of stump. What causes this?

  • I switch words myself at random, but i also can be talking, a few seconds go by, and after the other person responds, I have to ask them what we are talking about; I have no idea, like a clean slate, i have no idea what we were talking about!Its not a word trigger thing, they have to start over
