Need Diagnosis - extreme heightened sense of Deja Vu

I am 21 years old and i am a senior in college. 6 months ago i was in a car accident and had 2 brain surgeries among other things. Before accident i had deja vu but seemed normal, just as a thing i remember seeing in a dream at some point. I always felt fine after it.

Since my surgeries its been about 3 times, happens multiple times a day on each of the 3 times it happened- today being the 3rd. I experience deja vu in a sense of remembering the situation im experiencing and remember having it in a dream a long time ago. I become almost completely engulfed in remembering the situation before and cant stop thinking about it for minutes. When i experience it, its almost as if I'm "tripping" while remembering the situation or experience and feel realllllyyy weird for a few minutes. I usually have to sit down if im not already and take a few deep breaths and try and relax myself to recover from it.

I havent talked to my brain surgeon about it because it has only happened after I completed seeing him. It was the worst the first time, as i almost past out the first experience of it, and since the first time I can feel it coming and much better to control my brain and thinking of the experience/subject that i was remembering.

I read that it could be minor epilepsy or something of that nature.

Would just like to know if anyone has any experience with this phenomena, or ways to take care of it, or what it actually is that is happening to me.

Thank you, Kyle

  • To my knowledge i have never had a brain surgery or any for that matter besides my broken arm. Yet every day and increasingly I am experiencing these same symptoms but more severly and the feeling of not completly coming out of that deja vu state before i continue on thru each day... Are we all living in a dream world/Matrix and beginning to wake up? Or are we just 'crazy' people with brain disorders? I'm open to either possibility so I can see the outcome of both. And I don't like what I see coming

  • CBD's from the hemp plant are proven an effective treatment for seizures..could help...are the sure the feelings arent valid? sometimes after brain trauma extra sensory abilities can be heightened. sounds ridiculous but i have really strong intuition when something bad is going to happen..to the point that ive actually scared friends off cuz they didnt know how to respond..almost like it was my fault....im not saying you are a super hero i just think you should explore the idea..try some dream remembrance exercises or hypnosis before you freak out and take man made drugs
