Alright, last February I fell on my wrist during a basketball game and it immediately started swelling up. I went to the doctors and they x-rayed it and said it was a sprain. I rested it for about a month and the pain didn't get any better, so I went to my orthopedic doctor.
She sent me to get a MRI and it came back saying that I had torn the cartilage in my wrist, and she sent me to a hand surgeon.
He had me go get a CT scan, and the results came back 'inconclusive'. He gave me a cortisone shot (which hurt like ***l, and did nothing for my pain) and said that I should come back in a month to see how I felt.
I went back a month later (now August), still in pain and my wrist still swelling up. He continued to say that it was just a sprain and I needed to rest it.
I haven't been back since, because he was no help at all. My wrist will be fine some days, but I'll be in complete pain other days. My wrist swells up, and sometimes it pops and makes noises when I move it. It's been doing this since I first fell on it over a year ago.
What could be wrong with it? I'm sick and tired of being in pain:(
