Come November this year, I will have experienced a pain in my right arm, about midway between my elbow and shoulder. It's a kind of aching pain combined with a burning pain. It changes from hour to hour. It is 24/7, it never stops, it never gets better, it never gets worse, it is what it is.
There is a spot I can push on, like a lump, which if I push on, I can make hurt more.
It also hurts further up my arm towards my shoulder if I work on it..
I have had episodes of numbness of my right arm, and for example, could not hold a pencil/pen. Dropped out of my hand.
I have had X-rays, nothing there.
I have had a MRI, nothing there.
My doctors (two so far) say it is a issue with my neck, which is in bad shape without a doubt, but after all this time, I am not convinced that something else is not happening.
I have been on Tramodol for over a year, and I would really like to get off of it. But right now, and for many months, it has been saving my sanity.
How can my neck cause a pain in my arm that has been exactly the same for almost two years? Doesn't change if I move my head (neck) and/or ever get better or worse? I just can't buy their diagnosis.
What else can I do for a diagnosis? Would ultrasound be of use?
Thanks anyone and everyone.
