Right side abdominal pain

I have been having abdominal pain that is located only on my right side, very close to the top of my hip. I also have been feeling somewhat bloated or full only in that area, and it is tender to the touch. I feel much better when I am laying down, and the pain is almost always there but sharp pains come and go. Before my last period I had an internal and external ultrasound done on my ovaries and uterus, only finding a bicornate uterus, which I was already aware of, but that it seems to be larger on the right side than the left. Following the utrasound I had sex once with my boyfriend before my period, but we used a condom and I am on ortho-evra. I am 24 years old and have had very regular periods with nothing out of the ordinary. I went off the patch for a few months because I did not want to be on birth control anymore, but the pain of my camps was too much so I was put back on it the month before my ultrasound. I got my period as scheduled but it was twice as long as it has ever been, even when I went off birth control. My cramps were definitely better than had I not been on birth control but they were still pretty bad. I am about a week away from my next period, but I am still experiencing these period like cramps consistently from the time of my last period until now. I also have bladder problems with a possible diagnosis of interstitial cystitis, but this pain feels much different than bladder pain, and very similar to cramps. I am on a regular dose of antibiotics to prevent re-occurring bladder infections, so its not that, and I also do not have any of the symptoms of a uti, or any STD's, no pain while urinating, no discharge etc. I don't have any problems in the bathroom department and everything is as normal as ever. I also had my appendix removed as a child I am going to go to my doctor next week but I was hoping that someone would be able to give me some insight.
