Random Back Pain?

I've been having this back pain for well over a month now. It seems random to me but usually strikes me when I'm trying to sleep or when I've woken up and am lying in bed.
It seems to be centered in the middle of my back and sort of spreads (if that makes sense) to my stomach area at the front as well. Using a wheatie seems to help but doesn't make it go away and painkillers are little help. It goes eventually but only after a few hours.
I'm 20 years of old, female and am otherwise completely healthy.
My dad said it might be something to do with my kidneys but he's no expert obviously. I can't understand it because there is no routine to the pain- no triggering food or thing I do. It just strikes at random.

Any help please?

  • it could be as simple as your bed that you are sleeping on. have you tried sleeping on different kinds of beds?
