CT scan shows several cysts on my liver 1 of which is quite big. I am in persistent pain in the upper abdomen and lower back. I also had Right lower lobe pneumonia at the same time. Doctor say cysts are normally painless, so far no explanation why so painful or how to manage the condition.
Did the pneumonia disturb the cyst or other way round? All started 3 weeks ago with sudden sharp pain under right shoulder blade as if I pulled a muscle, pain quickly spread to right lower back right side and right upper abdomen very painful distended and throbbing. Pneumonia treated with antibiotics so side pain gone, but back an abdo pain persists.
Waiting for Gastro Team referal but meanwhile how do I manage this, what can I safely take for pain relief. What treatment options are?
