My niece is 28 and is pregnant with her 4th child, She had what was defined as a seizure on Wednesday. Her sister brought her straight to the hospital and they said her potassium was low gave her a perscription and sent her home. 4 hours later she ment into cardiac arrest, they revived her and amblance brought her to the hospital. The doctor's did not take it seriously, they did not believe this was serious until she coded in ER. They had to use the crash cart 3 times and left it on stand by. Then a heart specialist put a pace wire to help keep her heart in rythm. She still had several more heart problems. The They did not expect her to make it. Her potassuim would be 4.1 by Friday night and then back to 3.2 Saturday morning. They are baffled were it is going or how it got so low. Magnissuim and iron are low know. She is out of ICU and the pace wire is out. But the doctors are still looking for answers. HELPReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
