i tried to find something, but i don't know what it is. it's just like a headrush, i stand up to fast, and i feel the headrush come on. i start to black out, my arms and legs shake, and i get a feeling of euphoria. it only lasts a few seconds, and it doesn't happen very often. one time a couple years ago it happened and i actually passed out, but that was the only time. any help?

  • Yes, i believe you are showing signs of whats called orthostatic hypotension. this is caused by changing body positions such as laying down then standing up. If movement is sudden, you can faint. Your blood pressure bottoms out as you do this, thus causing a "faint" feeling. Start by gradually getting up when getting out of bed or from a chair. Also, some spinal cord-injured people suffer from this.. due to decreased muscular function in thier legs, that eventully makes its way to the heart. hope this helps, God Bless

  • I also did this every morning!! I haven't done it since I started taking thyroid replacment. My doctor said that an underactive thyroid cause's you to have low blood pressure. Check out the other symptoms if thyroid problems. Maybe be that is your problem?

  • Yeah its orthostatic intolerance/hypotension. Brought on by sudden movement, standing for longer than ten minutes, after a meal, etc. With mine, feel like a whirring sound in my brain, like a comb shaped light (silvery strands) is being used to rake your head, then I feel lightheaded, then pass out for like a second
