After searching online I think I found the name for my 2 yr issue. The symptoms connect perfectly. I plan on bringing this info to my ear, nose, throat doc. Out of no where I started developing drainage in my nose & what seemed to be dried up mucus but now I know there more like scabs & an odor started building up. This is an annoying on going routine for me constantly saline or cleaning my nose w/ tissues & it just comes back & gets worse. I wonder if some infection had started developing in some type of cavity pocket inside my nose reason why? because I was born w/ a cleft palate & had 2 bone grafts done several yrs ago so I figured there's got to be cavity holes inside w/in my nose. I then thought the bone graft was infected or causing this issue. I started to think what ever this is or causing this has to have a connection w/ the cleft palate because of the fact that my older brother had this type of problem many yrs back. I never questioned him about what it was. I just cant find myself to ask him anything regarding this issue. yeah, I know it would be helpful or an answer to my problem I just don't know how to physically bring the topic up. So due to the fact he's had this issue and we both have cleft palate's there's got to be a connection. I've been told by the doc to use saline? its just my sinus and try the neti pot NOTHING WORKS!I have yet to connect the cleft palate to this the only connection is (youngers operation) that was listed under symptoms & I have had multiple surgeries as a child. The symptoms matched & brought up the larynx voice box.I had an upper endoscope when I was 10.They inserted the camera scope in my nose to my throat to view my voice box. Some cleft palate kids sound nasally & they discovered that the voice box is broken it doesn't function the proper way when you talk your vocal cord ABDUCT to breath (that means when u go breath your voice box opens) then it closes when a person goes to speak to keep the air trapped out mine was only closing half way barely even working correctly due to the trauma of the cleft palate. I don't know I'm stressed out physically/ mentally [over this can someone give me some feed back I would truly appreciate it. Thank you
