--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About 4-5 times a day, for the last 3 weeks, I have been getting a very wierd sensation that feels lilke my left hand and left leg are falling asleep and have become numb/tingling...yet when I concentrate on it and move my hand and leg, the feeling is that the numbness is in an invisible hand/leg to the right of the actual hand/leg. The feeling is so wierd. I get no dizziness, can walk during the episode and it usually is over quickly. I have started keeping a log of it so so far, it has happened while laying in bed, while sitting at my computer, while driving and once while shopping. The feeling is always on my left hand and leg, but feels like my tingling hand and leg are to the right of where they actually are at the time of the feeling....am I going crazy? It seems like a neurological event since it only happens for about 10 seconds and my hand and leg are not actually falling asleep.....help... I am supposed to take my kids to the beach next week and would love to be able to wait until I returned to address this with a neurologist. I exercise daily (cardio, light weightlifting and yoga stretching) and as a whole, feel really good. Anyone else had something similar? any guesses? TIA's? B12 deficiency? anything? can I wait a couple of weeks to go see a doc if this is not affecting my speech or gait or balance nor is painful? thanks so much for any direction, advice, etc.

  • Hmmmmm I dont really know but it sounds to me like its something to do with nerves.......a bit like siatica, im not suggesting it is siatica maybe something like it..........have u ever had a whiplash injury or a fall/trauma that involved the spine or just hurt ur back ? even if it was 20yrs ago ? What makes me ask this is, when i was 17 i was involved in RTA, broke C4 vertbrea in neck........im 47 now........ but 11yrs back i started having serious promlems & it all stemmed from my old neck injury ! Apart from nerve pain, It affects my left arm/hand similar to what u are saying but it does not affect my legs. Its just a thought, its maybe something else but could be a possible answer ! Hope u get ur answers & get recover soon !:)
