  • yes, i experienced this a few recent years ago...saw many docs (neuro, cardio, general, etc.), who planned to send me to Mayo Clinic....was hospitalized for several days when seizures became so viloent that only intravenous Valium would stop cause i was at stroke level. 1st diagnosed as "epileptic" and given medications for seizures which did not effect them at all. To no avail, the seizures would not stop & I had to have 24-hour care for one month and was stopped from driving by physician. One final request by family physician that I see a psychiatrist---I was desperate & requested one I used to work for. Luckily, I had a seizure while he was in my room...he simply stated "you are having MASSIVE PANIC ATTACKS WITH PSEUO-SEIZURES". Put me on Xanax for about 2 months and then on to Prozac which has worked since that time. Don't be ashamed to "ask" psychiatrist about Massive Panic Attacks w/seizures. De-stress whatever "may" be affecting your life---it helps!!!! Best to you!
