I had a baby in October and the epidural hit bone and caused weird shooting pains in my shoulder and back. It swelled up right away and turned really red. I tried to get help when it continued to swell for four months but the hospital said sometimes this is normal. I think they are a little full of it. I have severe back pain, a feeling of burning in my back, it feels like little bugs are crawling all over me. my leg muscles are weak and I don't know what is going on. My doctor is trying to help me, but it's been 6 months. Any ideas?

  • I had a bad experience with my epidural, too! I was sick to my stomach almost as soon as the needle hit. Please get a spinal MRI so you can find out what's going on. Doctors screwed up and they don't want to find a problem. Discretely go to an ortho and state you have pain without explaining what you think caused it and hopefully they will do some scans. It helps if a husband or friend goes with you. Could be a hematoma...
