What else could it be?

I was diagnosed with chronic radiculopathy of neck and lumbar spine. I have swelling in rt thigh and knee, in which both of these areas are very difficult to bend. I have to walk with a cane because of weakness in the areas I described, can it be a secondary problem like dislocated hip or something. These docs won't consider ordering tests on these areas. Any suggestion is better than just one.
