My son diagnosed himself with Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. His Primary Dr. has agreed. I t is from alcoholism and lack of Thiamine(B1)..The sooner you start treatment, the better. The Korsakoff is basically too late. He is 40 and loves playing guitar, writing his own music and has an associates degree in art. Due to the disease these are hardly possible. We would appreciate any information we can get. Thank you.
