Visual symptoms undiagnosed, not migraine

I am 28 and I see one or more circular multicolored shape that flashes, even with my eyes closed. This has been since 3 months. Eye tests are all normal. The features are as follows:
1. They last for maximum 2 minutes and happen more than 2 times a day.
2. They get intensified by exertion and almost always happen when I am walking fast.
3. They are not followed by a headache.
4. They are always at the same location, a little to the left from the centre of my visual field.

The neurologists I went to ruled out migraine and asked for EEG. I had EEG twice and both came normal. I am still undiagnosed and don't know what to do or if I should do something or let it be.... if anyone experiences the same, please guide me.

  • I have something similar although mine sounds more like migraines.I get a feeling like there's something very small just slightly beyond my sight although it'd obviously all in my head. Then "in the distance" I see a very small multicoloured dot almost like a spot of oil on water. It gradually grows, becoming more obstructive until my vision is mostly blocked. The only way I can describe it from there is the blob reaches and passes my eyes as if it had passed my head and then I usually get a splitting headache although not the kind that lands some people in bed for ages, unless I deal with them better, I have no way of knowing. Even sitting here trying to remember the sensation and details is making me feel queasy.I had an EEG too (many years ago) which I had to wait to be saved up for and of course came back with nothing significant and no answers.I find if I try to not focus on the colours and take some painkillers along with eating something it usually helps and I've never had one of these happen so fast I've not been able to get somewhere "safe" in case I had a bad episode. However they're always very uncomfortable and on rare occasions I have recurring events where the headache is immediately followed by another light show they can get quite scary, such as the feeling they might never stop although they always have up to now.I don't know if any of this is familiar or has helped, if you have any suggestions for me I'd be happy to try them.
